1. The Following entry has been placed in the service records of the entries of the enlisted personnel of LCT(5)s #7,17, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 125, 136, 137, 147, 148, 149, 152, 156, 202, 204, 205, 210, 211, 221, 340, 342, and 430 who participated in the invasion of Sicily:

10 July 1943 Served with credit aboard U.S. LCT(5) #29, LCT(5) Flotilla Ten, as Part of the assault Waves during the invasion of Sicily.

2. The following entry has been placed in the service records of the enlisted personnel of LCT(5)s #20, 25, 27, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 125, 152, 211, 221, 340 and 342 who participated in the invasion of Italy:

9 September 1943: Served with credit aboard U.S. LCT(5) #29 LCT(5) Flotilla Ten, as part of the assault Waves during the invasion of Italy.

3. Sufficient copies are enclosed so that each man may have one for his personal record. Attention is invited to the restricted classification of this letter which prohibits sending it to any personnel outside of the naval service.
